When do you remove butterfly bandages?
Always put the butterfly bandage across a cut, not lengthwise, to hold the edges together. Watch for signs of infection. If an infection develops under a bandage, you may need to see your doctor. Take the bandage off and leave it off whenever you are sure the wound will not become irritated or dirty.
How long should you leave Steri-strips on?
How long do they need to stay on for? Steri-strips need to stay in place for five to seven days to allow the wound to heal. To remove steri-strips you need to soak them in water, this can be done in a bath without bubbles. Once the steri-strips are wet the adhesive will come unstuck.
Can you shower with butterfly stitches?

If the strip is stuck, you can take a dampened cotton ball and gently dab the area of adherence. Do not soak the scab as this may cause it to fall off prematurely. Now, wait 30 seconds and see if you can remove the strip without resistance. If you cannot remove the strip easily, leave it be.
